P!nk Fans Worldwide Meet Up: 2020
Hey everybody! I’ve been thinking about this for many years now and I figured there’s no time like the present to start. 2020 will be the 20th anniversary of P!nk’s debut. Duh right?
Since we are a global fan base, with varying degrees of money, spare time and freedom I think getting a 2+ year head start on planning is a wise move.
Wouldn’t it be really cool to catch up with people you’ve known most of your life? Maybe meet them for the first time? Perhaps bump into somebody you haven’t seen in years? I think it would be
So, I’d like to start with a discussion of sorts. Feel free to chime in and offer your thoughts. Obvious questions like “when and where” are very important. Should we try to find a conference hall in or near Doylestown, PA? Philly? Perpetually perfect Los Angeles? Perhaps in Australia where P!nk is a deity? I’m just thinking of locales where P!nk has history but feel free to offer your own ideas! And what about the season? Summer is always nice right? Or is it the bane of your existence?
Almost finally, I’d like to add that if this idea catches on I will create ways for people to message and plan, even those outside of PP. Like making an email address and/Twitter account.
Remember, 2020 is the year but it can be at any month. It will take a lot of back and forth to plan all of this and I welcome the help of anybody who wants to help. Researching venues to meet at, hotels and other lodgings, carpooling, sharing expenses, etc. Also, think about a duration. Should it be like a weekend? Friday, Saturday and Sunday?
This post will be updated with info as things settle. And probably be reformatted once I’m on a real computer. So if you’re a browser and you want to partake, feel free to make an account (lol you’ll be waiting forever) or stick around because if the idea catches on, there will be an email address you can write to. All are welcomed to share their thoughts so don’t be shy. This will be done as democratically as possible. I want people to be able to go and that will most likely require a lot of planning and passports, visas blah blah blah.
