Can you be allergic to your dog but not to the cat?

I know they are but I thought that cats are "more" sensitise (if that make sense) cuz it's more common. And I never had any reaction caused by my cat. On the other side when I play with my dog (not always) and he licks my hands or scratch me i got that itchy feeling. I don't even know if that is an alergic reaction cuz i'm not alergic to anything else.

Sounds like there is no question that youre allergic to him, saliva is one of the things you react most on then. It doesnt have to be a big deal though so itll be fine.

Yes, I'm allergic to dogs as well, that's the reason why I prefer cats (well, one reason anyway ).

If the itch is the only thing you get, it shouldn't be a problem, it can get worse though.

I don't get what this has to do with "Watcha watching right now, right this second?" though? Or did you watch the allergic reation after you played with your dog?

Ehhhh that's not a great news but still the alergic reaction is not that bad so I guess it's all fine at the moment. Thanks.

You can probably just try avoid his saliva and maybe get some allergy medicine. Hopefully it wont be a big issue

Haha my dog once rolled in some dead "something"and it was really disgusting but i still love him.

What do you mean it can get worse!? I don't wanna any worse.

Yeah I came back to my room and it started to itch. That's it. But I never ever was alergic to anything so it's kinda weird. Maybe it's just normal that fresh scratches itch...

I usually don't let him bite me even though he does it really gently but sometimes when we play it gets out of control and he playfully grabs my hands or poke me with his paws and I let him do it cuz he's super cute.

Well, you never know what happens if it comes to allergies, unfortunately. If it should get worse, you should visit an allergy specialist.

What is your reaction and how long do you have it - I know allergies can reveal at any age.

Allergies can become worse if you are exposed to whatever youre allergic to. As well as allergens can make you develop allergies to more things.

You can be more allergic to certain dogs as wells, certain individuals. It depends on their skin and stuff, i cant really explain it but you can notice that you react more or less to different dogs. As well as some breeds are more allergy friendly than others.

Its really interesting stuff. But of course a bit annoying for those who are allergic.

I see. It's my parent's dog and I'll be living with them for one more year. Hopefully it wont get much worse as it's not that bad now.
