ULTRA-RARE Interview Clips from CTMH Days
Guys, you will LOVE (and hate) this...
Ok, so I don't actually have working links for the videos, so apologies for the slightly misleading subject title (and long explanation) but I'm looking for as much help with this as possible. So here's the story... About 10 years ago I used to visit a site called Click2Music that had a dedicated Pink section, featuring pics and videos amongst other bits and pieces. WELL... it's at this site all those years back that I watched my first Pink interview piece. It contained extremely rare and since-unseen streaming interview clips of a very young fuschia-haired Pink and her manager at the time, and even showed things like the building where 'Love Is Such A Crazy Thing' was recorded (!) amongst a lot of other interesting things. Yes, very rare.
I can't stress enough how much I wished I had saved these videos back then, but in 2001 knowing how to rip a streaming video wasn't as wide-spread as it is today. I haven't been able to find them on the net since and it kills me. I always hoped they would surface but so far all I've seen is maybe a few seconds of it used in a 'Driven'-type montage of her early days (in particular her wearing boxing gloves and sparring in a gym) but nothing more.
Until today, kind of. Is everyone familiar with the Internet Archive Wayback Machine (http://www.archive.org/)? Well after spending some time today checking out old and outdated Pink fan sites and Yahoo groups just for fun, one link led me to another and I came across a link to the now defunct Click2Music Pink page. I clicked it and you guess it, the page no longer exists. So I remembered the Wayback Machine and tried searching for it, and the old site came up! With links to all these videos too! To my suprise there was even a video link to something called 'Leaving For The Last Time Interview' (YES - what the F!). So I click through the streaming video links and NOTHING WORKS. Which is to be expected 10 years later. Gutted. So close.
MY QUESTION/REQUEST IS: Can any tech-heads help out in retrieving the videos? I know it's highly unlikely and that these videos are probably long-gone per the server error you get when trying to play them, but it's worth a shot. At the very least you all get a glimpse at what once was. Or does anyone, by some freak chance, have (or remember) these videos and can upload/share them for us all? Again, highly doubt it.
Anyway, try it out for yourself: search for http://click2music.ca/gopink/pink_music.html (clicking the link directly will yield a blank page) and click 'Take Me Back'. Click the earliest 2000 version of the page and try your luck.
Or here's a direct Wayback Machine link (giving me some issues but was working a couple of hours ago - screen cap below also): http://web.archive.org/web/20010303...pink_music.html
Fingers crossed. This sht is gold, believe me.
