It's like Rihanna's Disturbia. It started off really slow, but when the adds date came, it blew up. I hope the same happens with So What. AAA playing the song is a good sign, because it's not her biggest audience, yet it has more than double the spins on Hot Adult Contemporary, so obviously more radio stations are playing her.
I hate to be negative, but most forums I go to are saying they hear a little bit of Try This in this song, which is sort of putting them off, so the video + promotional appearances with her being cute/funny will help them see the humor.
Ahh, let's not read too much into it. I hope it becomes big. She just needs radio support. I hope they give her a chance and don't do what they did with Try This.
Most forums I go to are praising the song and calling it Pop perfection. Also, when Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne leaked, it did NOTHING. Why? Because her label was ready to slit throats of any station that played it before the adds date. Also, most stations have already set playlists every week. Most don't update till tues-thurs. Only a few do on Fridays. One of those stations is z100, which is spinning this a lot already. So, I don't think we will see a big effect till this coming week.
